On a spring afternoon in 1956, company president and founder Dick Meissner sat down in his garage to begin work on his contract sewing first. Philip Anthony of Anthony Pools had its first contract to produce the filter bag Anthony McIntosh. Working alone and at night, Dick lay the foundation for the company, which has become the largest manufacturer of filter cartridges swimming pool and spa in the world. In these early years, residential filtration was in its infancy. As the market began to grow, has great additional contract sewing, first Swimquip and Landon, Pac-Fab, Paddock and California received. In 1959, this business part time full time. The young company has hired two employees and moved quietly in a 2,000 square meter building in Van Nuys, Calif.
