Futuristic house with an innovative interior design
Ologic Corian Smart-Living “is the name of innovative interior design project that DuPont Corian and Karim Rashid presented next April 2010 at the Milan Design Week: a concept of environmentally sustainable living home designed by Karim Rashid based on the versatility of the proven design and advanced sensorial qualities of materials for DuPont Corian
“Corian Smart-ologic Living” will also feature (for the first time ever) with “futuristic types” of DuPont Corian made with biological components environmentally sustainable and recycled materials, and show other high technology products capable DuPont reduce the environmental footprint design solutions, architecture and construction, while providing superior aesthetic and technical quality.
All areas of the house – kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, garden – will be interpreted creatively by Karim Rashid (see picture above left, photo by Roman Leo for Karim Rashid Inc.) and supplied by a variety of home solutions diligent in which DuPont Corian will be key factor connecting element.
The extraordinary and great design by Karim Rashid is complemented in this project with DuPont globally recognized skills in the design of materials.
Exploiting its unique expertise in materials science, biology, chemistry and manufacturing technologies, equipment and technology from DuPont scientists have designed and developed advanced futuristic types of surface material DuPont Corian made with biological components and materials and environmentally sustainable recycled.
They have also designed a new type of quartz surface DuPont Zodiaq and the phase change material Energain DuPont ingredients of biological origin including environmentally sustainable.
DuPont sees these achievements as possible options to address emerging challenges technical and environmental challenges that will face business and professional interior design, architecture and construction.
The project manager for the exhibition “Corian Smart-ologic Living” is the architect Massimo Fucci, international consultant and partner with the world DuPont Surfaces design.
