Placing children’s furniture
Safety and comfort are the two most important points when furnished a nursery. Besides choosing light colors that promote relaxation, while that encourage creativity, Feng Shui teaches us how to put the main furniture, beds and desks, so that our children rest, play and study in an ideal environment.
- The bed: The night terrors are common in children, so it is very important to place the bed so that they cannot receive shadows or lights, to discontinue the rest. According to Feng-Shui, the bed should not be placed facing the door, nor do we place the headboard on the same wall of the door. It is best to place the bed perpendicular to the door, if possible in parallel to a cabinet that is supported on the same wall of the door. From this location, your child will have controlled the entrance to his bedroom, while not directly see the hallway light seeping through the bottom of the door or through some crack.
- The Desk: The desk study of children must have a location that contributes to the concentration for optimal learning outcomes. Put the chair back to the door, will be devoted to the study, instead of playing, because they may be surprised at any time. And while it’s nice to have a good view, this should not be distracting, so the desk placed against a wall (on which to place shelves or tables), it is most recommended. A large table and comfortable chair, both designed at the height of children, completed a comfortable study area. Remember also hang pictures and artwork by little hands, to encourage the creative side.
